The Different Types Of Whiteboards

Whiteboards are great accessories for any business environment. They come in handy when making presentations to potential clients and can be used during staff meetings to illustrate a point. Some models are made to be mounted against a flat surface. Others are mobile and can be easily moved around. When choosing whiteboards for the office, it is helpful to consider material, price and portability.

Boards made out of acrylic are less expensive but ideal for the business owner with a tight budget. Porcelain is more expensive and better suited for a more upscale office where the operating budget can bear the expense. Both are used exactly the same and can be easily wiped clean between uses.

Some business owners will use a board to post messages to the employees. The employees can also use the board to keep in touch with each other. One may be hung in the main hallway, break room or meeting room.

Some models will be mounted to a standing frame and in some cases the frame will be equipped with wheels for easy transport. A wheeled model is ideal for an office that needs to relocate the board between meetings. For a permanent fixture, choose a board to hang on the wall or one that sits on a stationary stand. These boards are available in a variety of sizes depending on location and intended use.

Some manufacturers make boards that have permanent markings on them. Some will have a calendar grid with boxes to fill in. At the end of the month or week, users may simply wipe the information off and start fresh with no need to reconstruct the grid each time.

A large corporation can buy white boards at a discount price in bulk. These items are sold individually for the small business with no need for large quantities of boards.
